Motorsport Sponsorship Promotion & Event Management
The Safari Rally was arguably the toughest round of the World Rally Championship. An event that was truly different in make up, from diverse terrains and challenging natural environments to a difficult and testing climate.
As commercial managers, our role was to secure investment and finance for the event by engaging sponsors, seek national partnerships and acquire local support. We formulated viable and marketable commercial packages, enticing global brands to participate in the event. We also activated extensive marketing plans with far reaching promotion and communication campaigns. As a result of our success in attracting prestigious sponsors, we raised the event’s profile. Our extensive commercial work also gave the organisers the freedom to focus on solving the logistical challenges associated with running the rally.
In addition to being responsible for the sponsors’ marketing and publicity campaigns, we planned and executed the event’s branding, advertising, TV and media strategies.
Kenya is a tough and unforgiving environment to work in. To bridge the cultural gap between poverty, religion, tribalism, politics and conservation was a hugely difficult task. We’re delighted that, despite the challenges, our team were a great success and integrated seamlessly within Kenyan life. Their flexibility, creativity and management skills ensured all parties were able to successfully achieve their goals.
