Venue Branding and Event Merchandise
Sheffield will be host to the Special Olympics GB National Summer Games 2017. The event, held every 4 years, will welcome 2,600 intellectually disabled athletes of all ages and abilities. Athletes from across the county will be competing in 13 venues in a diverse range of sporting disciplines. As the flag ship event of SOGB, the Games are a proving ground for athletes who are looking to progress and impress on the international stage.
Cube Management, together with its stadium branding partner Doublet, has been appointed to supply and implement the event’s stadium branding. Working closely with SOGB, we have surveyed the host venues and created a detailed branding plan to support each sporting discipline and venue. Our experienced events team will ensure maximum brand exposure for the event, and its commercial partners, at each venue.
The event will kick-off with a spectacular Olympic-style Opening Ceremony which will take place at the Bramall Lane Stadium, home to Sheffield United FC.
The Games will be televised by the BBC and ITV which, coupled with a high attendance of the national, regional and local journalists, will generate a significant amount of media coverage.
In addition to branding the venues, our experienced retail team will be managing the event’s merchandise production, promotion and on-site sales.
