Cube delivers Event Structure Solutions and On-Event Support for F1 1000th Grand Prix in Shanghai
Clients Formula One Management and Puma, the official merchandise partner, contracted Cube to deliver a number of event structure solutions as well as provide them with wide-ranging on-event support.
WHAT WE DID
Within the main F1 Fan Zone, Cube provided two large F1 Stores for the official team merchandiser. Each retail structure measured 30m x 20m and were delivered with bespoke F1 team branding for Ferrari, AMG Mercedes and RedBull. In addition, our F1 event team provided bespoke branded kiosks for the official programme sales as well as pop up F1Stores, official track side merchandise event retail units, which were placed around the circuit.
As part of F1’s celebration of its 1000th Grand Prix race, the team also worked with Classic Team Lotus to deliver a historic static car display and exciting on-track activation programme within the main F1 Fanzone area. On display was the 1968 Type 49C Lotus as driven by the legendary F1 champion Graham Hill. The static car display was built using a bespoke branded event structure with full height backdrop and external cladding, along with temporary garage flooring, spotlights and branded crowd barriers. On track, we assisted Classic Team Lotus mechanics in bringing the activation to life with demonstration track runs for the car driven by 1996 F1 World Champion Damon Hill.
In the Paddock area, we delivered an engaging historic F1 car display with full height branded cladding and red carpet. We also managed one of the world’s most extensive private collection of F1 memorabilia on display along the F1 Paddock and the racing drivers’ cool-down room.
