ABOUT THE CRICKET WORLD CUP

The ICC Cricket World Cup is the international championship of One Day International cricket. Founded in 1975, the event is held every four years and organised by the sport’s governing body, the International Cricket Council.

This year’s event, the tournament’s 12th edition, will feature 10 teams including hosts England and the top seven other teams in the ICC One Day International rankings as of 30 September 2017. The remaining two spots were decided by the 2018 Cricket World Cup Qualifier.

The 2019 participants are England, South Africa, India, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and West Indies.

All ten teams will play each other in the group stages during which a total of 45 matches will be played. The top four teams from the group stage will then progress to the knockout stage.

The final will be held at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London on 14th July 2019.

CUBE’S INVOLVEMENT

Cube has been contracted by VBM to manage their on-site infrastructure at all 11 Cricket World Cup venues: building temporary structures, installing the retail fit-out and producing the necessary branding. In addition to these structures, Cube will be providing match day management and retail support in Cardiff, Bristol, Taunton, Southampton and Durham.

Alongside the cricket grounds, there will be several city Fan Zones. Cube will be providing a range of steel retail units to support these events, offering visually enticing pop up shop units with the added benefit of security when not in operation.
