F1 Merchandise Sales At Italian Grand Prix

Following on from the success at Silverstone, Cube Management were invited to project manage Fanatics attendance at the Monza GP in Milan.

The structure was slightly different in size and configuration to the one found at the British Grand Prix. To accommodate the area of the official fan zone in Monza, the full walk-in store, with a 20m x 20m footprint, provided a focal point for fans visiting the event. Cube’s role was to supply a suitable structure and to project manage the build, internal fit out, power and AC supply, the branding and the general liaison with FOM. The Cube team received all the stock and prepared the unit for handover to the Fanatics Retail Team just prior to the event.

Post the final race, the retail team reconciled stock and Cube’s team took over to manage the breakdown of the structure.

The weather conditions in Monza were very challenging, starting with blazing heat and dust during the build up, followed by tropical storms which stopped the F1 practice sessions and delayed Qualifying. Glorious sunshine returned on race day!
