Cube Management is delighted to introduce and welcome Judith Rowan as Business Development Director of StreetVelodrome. Judith, who is based in Ireland, will be responsible for both managing the pop-up cycling track’s events and introduce and support its growth into new markets in the UK and Europe.
Judith joins the Cube team from Event NI in Ireland and has extensive experience in managing and delivering large-scale events.
During the past seven years, as an Event Business Management Consultant, Judith has worked with many of Ireland’s national and international sporting events including UEFA Womens’ U19s Championship, the Circuit of Ireland Rally, Giro d’Italia Gran Fondo and the NorthWest200.
Judith’s wealth of experience stretches beyond the sports industry: she spent eight years as co-founder and editor of an award-winning NI music magazine, BBm, which was followed by a diversification into large-scale music events. Through PLM Promotions, a company led by Judith and her husband, she pushed boundaries and raised event standards in the delivery of ground-breaking outdoor and indoor music festivals and concerts across the north and south of Ireland. From Ed Sheeran to Calvin Harris, Judith has worked with hundreds of artists, organising events for audiences between 10,000 and 32,000.
Judith said: ‘I’m thrilled to have joined Cube Management. This is a great opportunity to use my skills and experience and be part of a growing business.
“My aim is to showcase StreetVelodrome’s pop-up cycling track and promote the benefits of cycling to as many people and in as many locations as possible. Each event will be unique, but fun, engagement, entertainment and drama will always be part of the spectacle!”
Andy Moss, Cube’s MD, added: “We are delighted to welcome Judith to Cube. She has worked on many prestigious events, and with many well-known artists, and will therefore bring a great deal of experience to our growing team.
With an influx of new projects and business opportunities on the way, Cube can be assured that its newly acquired StreetVelodrome project will be in very safe hands.”
StreetVelodrome was co-founded by Carl Thompson, Cube’s Event Director, in 2014. It is a unique, self-contained pop-up event solution which can be set up in almost any location. Central to the velodrome’s structure are two dramatically sloped corners which allow riders to experience the thrill and excitement of Olympic-style cycle track racing. The track can be utilised in a variety of formats, including as a public access event, a competition-style event or as a corporate challenge event.
