Cube delighted to gain Health and Safety CHAS Accreditation
Cube Management is delighted to gain its accreditation with the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS), thereby confirming the company’s commitment to event health and safety.
CHAS is an authority and trusted advisor on health and safety compliance, responsible for setting industry benchmarks and providing a Common Assessment Standard.
Developed in line with Build UK, Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) and other accreditation bodies, the CHAS Common Assessment Standard is a common platform to enable contractors and consultants to gain compliance and accreditation.
Since 2015, health and safety rules known as the Construction (Design and Management) regulations, once solely the concern of the construction industry, were extended to incorporate the events industry. However, since this change very few players within the sector have fully embraced or acknowledged their obligations. This leaves them at particular risk of non-compliance with the regulations; regulations which derive from an EU directive which can therefore, and in many cases do, apply throughout Europe as well as within other global regions where similar regulations have been adopted.
